US Senate Majority Leader Aligns with Layton on Afghanistan

Layton may not be as crazy as he sounds.

The Republicans in the US Senate are using the same arguments Layton used in trying to end the fighting in Afghanistan.

Maybe its worth another look...

Huh? Frist suggested bringing the Taliban into government?

How many do you think are already there? The government of Afghanistan is rife with Taliban, and others who do not have the country at heart. Why do you think Karzai walks this precarious line?

The Lib's have taken this view for a long time. Layton holds no claim. Lib's were involved in negotiations, that identified this, a long while back.

Please, do not give Layton credit where it is not due. He's getting air time, but he is not doing the right thing through diplomatic means.

Oh and the day I believe a word Frist says, is the day I start eating bugs for breakfast.

Yes. I would have to agree that we Liberals have identified the Taliban sympathizers - and the need to work with them - quite some time ago.

Not so fast, apparently Frist was misquoted.
