SES Research - Liberals and Conservatives Tied at 33%
Canada's most accurate pollster, SES Research, has released their latest national poll:
Decided Voters
Conservatives: 33% (-1)
Liberals: 33% (+1)
NDP: 17% (+1)
Bloc: 10% (-3)
Greens: 7% (+2)
Undecided: 9% (-3)
This poll comfirms what we have thought - this thing is close and the Conservatives are not really interested in going to an election.
The Leger poll seems to be an outlier since it has the Conservatives with such a large lead. The only poll I trust is SES.

Couple things.
Dion's honeymoon period is officially over and he is polling in the same territory as Martin was.
I think it also proves that the Canadian public does not trust either the Conservative Party or the Liberal Party to lead a majority government any time soon.
Point? The party that leads the charge to make this current government fall (either engineered by the Conservatives or the Liberals) might face a backlash.
Both parties need to tread carefully.

Dippers and Greens ( a divided left) are up in Ontario, at the expense of the Libs, looks like Jack will not be supporting the budget.
Bloc numbers are diving.
Who will blink, Duceppe or Dion?

No party can read anything from these polls except the new normal, at least for now, is voter volatility. The large number of undecided and don't knows are more likely to be truly indifferent - none of which is good for our democracy.
The parties are seen as feckless and the leaders are all strategically skilled speciality players but not at all well rounded in all aspects and understandings of the range of challenges befalling the nation that demands wisdom over cleverness.
The fault lies with the lack of commitment to active, informed and engaged citizenship. It is OUR fault and until we take our consent to be governed seriously we will get substandard governance from OUR system.

Think most of your comments are right. To be honest, I've become a little disgusted with the showmanship and drama in the House - particularly between Baird and Dion.
Hence why my attention has shifted to American politics where for once, it seems more civil than the Canadian variant.
